THE RETAIL ENGINEERS

The successful implementation of a retail concept is strongly dependent on translation to a technical design. A great many factors need to be considered in this phase, but it is also a period when many important decisions are made. Shopex have decades of experience in the creation of distinctive store interiors and brand outlets. Experience that can deliver major savings in time and money during the translation from concept to realisation, without negative effects on quality and image.

Our current practice at Shopex increasingly includes the development of one or more prototypes before a start is made on the rollout of the finished concept. This is made possible by the use of advanced drawing equipment which allows our engineers to draw up plans for a store on a relatively short timescale. The great advantage of the prototype for our clients is that they are able to experience the new concept in three dimensions at the earliest possible stage. This provides a good idea of the modifications any possible or necessary.

Practical experience has repeatedly shown that investment in a prototype is amply repaid during rollout. Shopex retail engineers closely monitor developments in technical fields relating to new materials and working methods, and keep themselves informed about the latest advances in such areas as lighting and display systems.
